Three Republicans battle for two seats on Catawba County Board of Commissioners

For the March 15 primary there are three Republicans running for two board of commissioners seats. Barbara Beatty and Dan Hunsucker are the incumbents, Troy Sigman is a challenger.

Beatty grew up in the Balls Creek area and graduated from Bandys High School. She received an Associates Degree from Mitchell Junior College before earning her Bachelor of Arts degree from UNC-Chapel Hill. Beatty’s professional career includes serving as cost accountant and internal auditor for Burlington Industries, teacher, regional sales account manager for several telecom companies and merchandise director for the Hickory Crawdads.
