Newton asks for public opinions

The city of Newton opens the Newton Depot today from 5-7 p.m. for the West Side Area Drop-In. The drop-in is the fifth event for the planning board  held to hear from Newton residents.

Guests are welcome to come and share comments or ask questions about future plans for the area.

Newton Planning Department members, Assistant Planning Director Alex Fulbright and Planner Max Sigler will be on hand with maps as well as other written information to give out to the public during the event.

“We are looking for input on land use, transportation and anything else,” Fulbright said. “In the past we have gotten a lot of information on street conditions and code enforcement issues that are helpful, too.”

Thursday's Drop-In will focus on the area of Newton west of U.S. 321 Business.
