Maiden man pleads guilty to drug charges

Salvador Sanchez Gore will spend the next eight years in prison after pleading guilty to trafficking cocaine, conspiracy to traffic cocaine and the sale of cocaine on Thursday, March 16, 2017, during Catawba County Superior Court.

The Honorable W. Todd Pomeroy, Superior Court Judge from Lincoln County, sentenced Gore to an active prison term of 8-12 years in custody of the North Carolina Division of Adult Corrections.

Judge Pomeroy also imposed a mandatory fine of $100,000 for Gore.

Gore, 34, of Maiden, sold cocaine to agents with the Catawba County Narcotics Task Force on three occasions in November and December 2015.

The cases were investigated by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. Lance Sigmon and Kyle Smith handled prosecution for the District Attorney’s Office.
