Lenoir-Rhyne dismisses Pate after three seasons

After three seasons, Katie Pate was fired as the head women’s basketball coach at Lenoir-Rhyne, sources confirmed to The Observer News Enterprise on Monday.

The Lenoir-Rhyne head women’s basketball coaching job was also posted on the school’s employment website on Monday afternoon, confirming Pate’s departure from the Lady Bears program.

Pate led Lenoir-Rhyne to a 41-43 record during her three-year tenure.
