Hickory police investigate homicide

On June 1, 2015 at approximately 11:40 pm, Hickory Police Officers were called to 38 8th Ave Drive SE reference the homicide of 46-year-old Lancelot Kenyatta Ellison B/M, of Georgia. Upon their arrival, Officers located Ellison inside the residence who was unresponsive as a result of gunshot wounds. Officers attempted CPR but Ellison was later pronounced dead at the scene. During the execution of a search warrant at the 8th Ave Drive residence officers located marijuana in addition to other items of evidence.

Hickory Police Criminal Investigation Division is currently working to locate Tevin Jerome Davis (pictured), 23, B/M, reference this homicide. Warrants have been obtained on Davis for 1 Count of 1st Degree Murder, 2 Counts of 2nd Degree Kidnapping, and 1 Count of Felony Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. Davis is out on bond awaiting trial for multiple pending charges to include: Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill, Possession of a Fire Arm by Felon, and Common Law Robbery.

Davis is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information reference the location of Davis advised not to approach this individual but contact the Hickory Police Department immediately.
