A search team spent about 10 hours, Saturday canvassing a neighborhood and wooded area looking for Kevin Glenn Bowman, a 33-year-old Conover man, who has not been seen by his family for nearly a week. Bowman was reported missing last Tuesday. His family last saw him on June 30 when they met for dinner.
Bowman left the family gathering in Hickory around 9 p.m. He did not show up for work at Carroll Leather the next day. Management at Carroll Leather contacted Bowman’s sister, Julia Bolick on Tuesday morning to check on him, at which time Bolick reported him missing to authorities.
Conover police checked on his apartment on 3rd Street Place SW and found his car parked in front of his apartment and the door to his apartment locked. Conover officers entered the apartment and found no signs of a struggle or emergency.
