Posey leads off the inning with a double down the left field line. Justin Upton mishandles a ball off of the bat of Pence in center field, allowing Posey to score and Pence to reach second base on a double. Giants up 3-0. Johnson's leadoff single to shallow right-center field ends Bumgarner's chance at a no hitter. Kris Medlin is pinch hit for by Reed Johnson, who strikes out looking. Simmons grounds into a double play to end the inning.

Alex Wood in for Medlin in relief. Medlin went six innings, allowing nine hits, four runs (all earned), no walks and striking out four Giants batters. Wood strikes out Blanco to start the inning, but hits the next batter, Abreu, with a pitch. Posey connects on his third double of the game to bring home Abreu. Giants are ahead 5-0.

Bumgarner still throwing a one hitter tonight and getting run support behind him in the form of 10 Giant runs. He gives up his second hit to Freddie Freeman, but gets another strikeout in the inning — his 10th of the game. Giants continue to lead 6-0 after seven complete

Joaquin Arias leads off the inning with a single off of new Braves pitcher Anthony Varvaro.
Bumgarner's night is over after being pinch hit by Hector Sanchez. Bumgarner gave up two hits, no runs, one walk and struck out 10 in 108 pitches (68 strikes, 38 balls).
Sanchez grounds into a 3-6-4 double play for two outs and Blanco, who started the game with two-straight RBI hits, is retired in his fourth-straight at bat to end the inning.
