'Booze It and Lose It' checkpoint conducted

Weather was a factor for the Newton Police Department, Conover Police Department and N.C. Highway Patrol, on Friday, Dec. 7.

The three departments worked together late Friday evening to conduct a drunk driving checkpoint at the intersection of N.C. 16 and E 20th Street in Newton.
