Ruth Thomas Prince, 92, of Conover, died Friday, Oct. 1, 2010, at Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Drum Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Conover.

Grady Jay Shepherd Jr., 90, of Burlington, died Sept. 29, 2010. Condolences may be offered to www.richandthompson.com [1].

Doris Geraldine Cousins, 89, of Hickory, died Friday, Oct. 1, 2010, at Abernethy Laurels.  A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel in Newton.

John Walter Scott Jr., 81, of Lincolnton, passed away Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010, at Lincoln Nursing Center.
