St. Stephens earned a 4-3 victory against Newton-Conover on Wednesday's "Senior Night" in Hickory.
The Indians trailed 3-1 late until they scored one run in the fourth and a pair of runs in the fifth to pull ahead.
Dylan Beiland led St. Stephens with a 2-for-3 performance from the plate, including two doubles, a run scored and an RBI. Zach Bumgarner, who picked up the win on the mound in relief, went 1-for-2, including an RBI.
Bumgarner went 3.2 inning in relief, allowing no hits, no runs and struck out three Red Devils.
Chris Aronis led Newton-Conover, going 1-for-4 with an RBI. Jayme Arnold was 2-for-4 from the plate for N-C, as well.
St. Stephens improves to 10-9 overall, including 5-6 in the Northwestern 3A/4A. The Indians travel to Watauga on Friday for their final regular season game.
Maiden 10, West Caldwell 9 (11 innings)
The Blue Devils improved to 14-7 overall and 9-3 in the Catawba Valley 2A with an extra-inning victory against the Warriors on Wednesday.
Dillon Foster and Daniel Williams both hit home runs in the Maiden victory. Williams drove in three RBIs, while Foster drove in two RBIs.
West Caldwell 5, Maiden 3 (OT)
The Lady Warriors picked up a CVAC victory in extra time against the Lady Blue Devils on Wednesday.
Allison Mayhard, Sarah Russo and Gaoja Yang all scored goals for Maiden (0-11-1, 0-9-1) in the loss.
West Caldwell improves to 6-7-3 overall and 5-4-2 in the Catawba Valley 2A.
Hibriten 5, Bunker Hill 0
The Lady Bears suffered a non-conference road loss to the Lady Panthers on Wednesday.
Megan Hedrick and Montana Lineberger combined for four of Bunker Hill's six hits in the game.
