The Maiden baseball team picked up a 4-2 road victory in CVAC play Tuesday against East Burke.
Jake Aaron, Dillon Foster and Daniel Williams each drove in an RBI for the Blue Devils, while Dustin Hipps scored a pair of runs.
Aaron Rudisill was the winning pitching for Maiden, while Hipps pitched up the save.
Hickory 6, St. Stephens 0
Ryan Garlow drove in three RBIs, while Zack Killian brought in a pair of runners to lead the Red Tornadoes to the conference victory.
The Indians were limited to three hits in the contest by Hickory starter Coan McAlpine, who struck out either St. Stephens batters and walked three.
St. Stephens 2, Hickory 2
The Lady Indians and Lady Red Tornadoes played to a scoreless time in NWC play Tuesday.
Olivia Holmes and Macy Franklin each pocketed a goal for St. Stephens, who is 14-1-2 overall and 8-0-1 in conference play after Tuesday's contest.
Hickory is now 15-4-1 overall and 8-1-1 in the Northwestern 3A/4A.
South Iredell 3, Bandys 0
The Lady Trojans were dealt a shutout loss in CVAC play Tuesday at the hands of the Lady Vikings.
Aaliyah Jackson and Miracle Campbell both pocketed goals, while Bandys (12-3-2, 7-3-1) surrendered an own goal at the 28th minute.
South Iredell improves to 15-2-0 and 11-0-0 in the Catawba Valley 2A.
St. Stephens 9, Hickory 0
Behind a home run and a four-hit performance from them mound from Katie Baker, the Lady Indians improved to 15-6 overall and 8-3 in the Northwestern 3A/4A.
Baker went 2-for-4 from the plate, as did catcher Molli Huffman. Calyn Davis led St. Stephens with three hits, including two singles and a triple.
Bunker Hill 10, West Caldwell 2
The Lady Bears pounded out 13 hits, including a three-hit night by Desirae Bebber, to pick up a Catawba Valley 2A victory.
Kadi O'Shell pitched six innings for Bunker Hill (9-3 in the CVAC), striking out five and allowing one earned run. Anna Williams earned the save.
Red Tornadoes upset on course
Hibriten carded a combined team score of 300, upsetting Hickory in Northwestern 3A/4A golf play Tuesday at Boone Country Club.
The Panthers were led by medalist Noah Martin, who carded a 71 to earn honors for the match.
Hickory shot a 319, which was good enough for third place. St. Stephens also finished ahead of the Red Tornadoes with a team score of 313.
