Down 45-39 entering the fourth quarter, the St. Stephens boys basketball team scored 20 points in the final quarter, lifting them past South Caldwell, 59-55, for its first conference win of the season.
Drew Starkey scored a career-high 19 points, while Jordan James added 15 points in the victory for St. Stephens (6-3, 1-1).
Jordan Propst scored 30 points, leading South Caldwell (3-5, 0-2).

The Lady Indians (2-7, 0-2) fell behind early, 17-8, and couldn't catch up, dropping their second-straight Northwestern conference game of the season to the visiting Lady Spartans (5-3, 2-0).
Anna Lee Bollinger scored 18 points for South Caldwell, while teammate Amber Gross added 10 points.
Leading St. Stephens was Morgan Bibey with nine points and Virginia McMahan with six points.
The Indians are home again on Monday, when they take on West Iredell, followed by an in-county match-up with Bandys at home on Tuesday.
