After a solid scrimmage against Forbush last week, the Fred T. Foard volleyball team went in the opposite direction against the Lady Eagles on Tuesday.
The Lady Tigers (0-1) dropped three straight sets to Forbush in a tough home loss, 25-19, 25-21, 25-14, at Jerry Copas Gymnasium on Tuesday.
Lady Tigers coach Alison Yount said the loss was due to a lack of focus.
“We’ve got some work to do as far as getting over the mental hurdle of playing as a team,” Yount said. “We played really well last week at our scrimmage. They played as a team and looked good. Fundamentally, they know what to do. They’ve just got to apply it in a game.”
Morgan Smith and Olivia Purvis led Foard in the loss with five kills each.
Rebecca Scott assisted on 17 points, and Kaitlin Sigmon had 16 digs in the game.
