Neither Adam nor Elisa Baker were in attendance Thursday when District Court Judge C. Thomas Edwards agreed to continue their cases until April.
Both Adam Troy Baker, 33, and Elisa Annette Baker, 42, were expected to appear on misdemeanor charges unrelated to the disappearance and death of 10-year-old Zahra Baker. Zahra Baker, Adam’s biological daughter and the stepdaughter of Elisa, was reported missing by the couple on Oct. 9 and investigators confirmed in an emotional press conference in early November that search teams recovered remains consistent with the Australian girl who wore hearing aids and had a prosthetic left leg from a bout with bone cancer in the Dudley Shoals area.
During court Thursday, Edwards scheduled a new hearing for Monday, April 11 to handle matters concerning an incident last May. Both Adam and Elisa Baker are charged with communicating threats on the same occasion, and Elisa faces the same charge in relation to another incident.
