High school sporting events rescheduled

Area high school sports that were cancelled this
past week have been rescheduled from Saturday
through next week.

After the toll that inclement weather has taken on prep sports in the area, the schedule has been worked out for many of those postponed games.

As of press time, four basketball games have been set for Saturday.
Also scheduled for Saturday are three wrestling matches and one swim meet.

Games, matches and meets scheduled for Friday have also been moved.
Here is the updated schedule:

Basketball
Hickory at St. Stephens, 1 p.m.
West Caldwell at Bunker Hill, 2 p.m.
Newton-Conover at South Iredell, 2 p.m.
Maiden at East Burke, 4 p.m. (varsity only)

Wrestling
East Burke at Maiden, 4 p.m.
West Caldwell at Bunker Hill, 9 a.m. (Riverbend Middle School)
Hibriten at Fred T. Foard, 2:30 p.m.

Swimming
S. Caldwell, Queens Grant, Northside Christian at Fred T. Foard, 2:30 p.m.

Monday

Basketball
Draughn at Newton-Conover, 5:30 p.m.

Wrestling
Maiden at Bunker Hill, 5 p.m.

Tuesday

Basketball
Bandys at Bunker Hill, 4 p.m.
(Varsity at Bunker Hill H.S., JV at Riverbend M.S.)

Wednesday

Basketball
Bunker Hill at Maiden, 4 p.m.
(Varsity in main gym, JV in auxiliary)
