Hickory police investigate homicide

June 2, 2015

On June 1, 2015 at approximately 11:40 pm, Hickory Police Officers were called to 38 8th Ave Drive SE reference the homicide of 46-year-old Lancelot Kenyatta Ellison B/M, of Georgia. Upon their arrival, Officers located Ellison inside the residence who was unresponsive as a result of gunshot wounds. Officers attempted CPR but Ellison was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Two brothers shot overnight near Catawba

BREAKING: Bomb threat at Conover Walmart

Around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Conover Walmart was evacuated due to a reported bomb threat, officials said.

Traffic was re-routed from the store, and no one was allowed to enter the parking lot or nearby businesses.
