A woman’s ex-boyfriend stabbed her Sunday with a steak knife and her stiletto shoe.
Hickory Police arrested Cameron Caleb Seagle, 21, of Hickory, on Sunday after he allegedly stabbed his ex-girlfriend and mother of his child, Brittany Danielle Wiles, 19, of Hickory.
He is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, attempted first-degree murder and second-degree trespassing.
According to the Hickory Police Department, Seagle waited outside Wiles’ apartment complex at 740 Fifth Ave. SW in Hickory about 2:40 a.m. Sunday.
Seagle allegedly grabbed Wiles when she and her friend, Chelsea Leshay Gore, 21, attempted to get out of their vehicle and return to the apartment complex.
According to the police report, Seagle stabbed Wiles multiple times with a steak knife and then used Wiles’ stiletto shoe, which fell off during the struggle, to stab her.
Gore attempted to help her friend during the struggle, and Wiles also allegedly stabbed her.
Wiles then ran away from the apartment complex into a wooded area nearby.
The women were transported to an area hospital, and according to the Hickory Police Department, they are in stable, but serious, condition.
Seagle called Hickory Police on Sunday and said he wanted to submit to authorities.
Seagle, his mother and another passenger were in a vehicle on their way to the police department when officers met them and arrested Seagle.
