This week's criminal convictions

The following people were convicted of felony offenses and sentenced this week in Criminal Superior Court:

* Walter Ray Danner, 45, of Newton, was convicted of felony possession of stolen vehicle and misdemeanor driving while impaired and sentenced to consecutive sentences of 6-8 months and then 120 days in the N.C. Department of Correction.

* Adrian Demontay Harrison, 24, of Hickory, was convicted of felony voluntary manslaughter and sentenced to 66-89 months in the Department of Correction.

* Brent Robert McCree, 41, of Maiden, was convicted of felony flee/elude arrest with motor vehicle and misdemeanor driving while impaired and sentenced to 24 months in the Department of Correction.

* Raul Contreras Zavala, 19, of Newton, was convicted of felony hit and run with serious bodily injury and sentenced to 16-20 months in the Department of Correction.

* Kathy Diane Abshire, 54, of Hickory, was convicted of two counts of felony financial card theft.
