This week's criminal convictions

The following Catawba County citizens were convicted of felony offenses and were sentenced this week in Criminal Superior Court.

*Jeffery Scott Canipe, 37, of Hickory was convicted of felony indecent liberties with a child and was sentenced to 21-26 months in the N.C. Department of Correction.

*Bobby Lee English, 29, of Conover, was convicted of felony second-degree murder and felony robbery with a dangerous weapon and was sentenced to 323-406 months in the N.C. Department of Correction.

*Gary Stephen Lusk, 54, of Newton, was convicted of felony possession of a firearm by a felon and felony possession with intent to sale and deliver marijuana.

*James Louis McWilliams Jr., 42, of Hickory, was convicted of felony flee and elude arrest with a motor vehicle and felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance.

*Victor Scott Pressley, 33, of Newton, was convicted of felony breaking and entering and felony larceny.

*Miles Shaunte Ramseur, 31, of Vale, was convicted of felony possession of cocaine, felony possession of marijuana and felony habitual drug offender.

*Jesse James Silcox, 28, of Newton, was convicted of felony sell marijuana.

*Kelly Lyn Ward, 35, of Hickory, was convicted of felony possession of cocaine and felony maintain a vehicle or dwelling for controlled substance.
