Tabitha Nicole Spurlin, 27, of Catawba,, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. The Spurlin family has entrusted the funeral arrangements to Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home and Crematory in Newton.
James Edwin “J.E.” Yount Sr., 88, of Hickory, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley. The Yount family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Drum Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Hickory.
Blia Mai Thao, 81, of Morganton, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at his residence. Services are being conducted this weekend at Startown Gathering Center at Jenkins Funeral Home in Newton. Burial will follow Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010, at Startown Jenkins Cemetery in Newton.
Garland Marvin DeHart, 69, of Claremont, died Friday, Nov. 19, 2010, at WFU Baptist Medical Center-Palliagive Care Unit in Winston-Salem. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Drum Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Conover.
