Joyce Ann Huffman Campbell, 58, of Hickory, passed away Monday, Sept. 5, 2011, at Palliative Care Center & Hospice of Catawba Valley in Newton.  Bass-Smith Granite Funeral Services in Granite Falls is serving the family.

John Franklin Witherspoon, 73, of Denver, died Monday, Sept. 5, 2011, at Wexford Senior Living in Denver.
The memorial service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Newton
