Joe Ray Abernethy, 77, of Newton, passed away Monday, July 18, 2011, at his residence.  The Abernethy family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home & Crematory in Newton.

Worth David Brooks, 64, of Newton, passed away Monday, July 18, 2011, at his residence.  The Brooks family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Drum Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Conover.  

Duane Wesley Ackerson, 86, of Denver, passed away Monday, July 11, 2011, at CMC-Main.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, July 21, 2011, at 1 p.m. at E. F. Drum Funeral Home.

Paul Wesley Stephens Jr., 84, of Hickory, died Monday, July 18, 2011, at Brian Center East.  
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2011, at Kings Way Baptist Church.

Wilbur H. Ennis, 86, of Conover, died Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley.  Arrangements are incomplete with Drum Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Conover.
