Johnnie Mae Mitchell, 73, of Hickory, died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011, at the Palliative Care Center & Hospice of Catawba.  Goodin-Drum Funeral Home is serving the Mitchell family.

David Ray Searcy, 67, of Sherrills Ford, died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011, at his residence.  The Searcy family has entrusted the funeral arrangements to Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home & Crematory in Newton.

Larry Benard Scronce, 71, of Newton, died Monday, Dec. 26, 2011 at his residence, Born May 7, 1940, in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Charles Kenneth Scronce and Lizzie Katie Jarrett Scronce.  The Scronce family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home & Crematory in Newton.

Daniel Edward “Big Edd” Sigmon Sr., 83, of Newton, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011, at his residence.  The Sigmon family has entrusted the funeral arrangements to Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home & Crematory in Newton.

Jessie Evelyn Eurey Fletcher, 80, of Conover, died Monday, Dec. 26, 2011.  Burke Mortuary in Newton is serving the Fletcher family.

E. Richard Hoke, 68, of Hickory, died Monday, Dec. 26, 2011, at the Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley.  Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home & Crematory in Newton.
