Warning: Winter weather to come

Hazardous winter weather conditions are headed for Catawba County tonight.
According to the National Weather Service, there is a chance of snow before 4 a.m. and then snow and sleet are likely in Thursday's early morning hours. Officials said less than an inch of snow and sleet are expected. Wednesday's low is 26 degrees.
Going into Thursday, there is rain with a possibility of freezing rain expected with a high near 41 into early afternoon. Rain is expected to continue after 2 p.m. and end in the early evening hours.
The National Weather Service expects the county to see another chance of snow and sleet before 9 a.m. Saturday followed by a chance of sleet and rain until 11 a.m. The high Saturday will be near 41 with rain most of the day.
