Norman Reedus didn't have his trademark crossbow ready when he entered his trailer after a day of filming, but maybe he should have.

As the actor who plays Daryl Dixon walked towards the bathroom, an anxious extra waited inside. The door burst open and out came a gnarly zombie who had become a pawn in "The Walking Dead" actors' notorious pranks. That zombie was Johnny Clontz, of Newton.

"I scared him to death when I came poppin' out at him," Clontz said.
