Walker and Moss both play as East tops West, 34-9

July 19, 2012

West Montgomery's Ja'Quil Cap scored four times, leading the East squad past the West squad to a 34-9 victory in the 64th Annual East-West All-Star Game in Greensboro on Wednesday.

Newton-Conover players Jake Walker and Jervasse Moss both played in the contest. Moss ran four times for 21 yards and also caught a two-yard pass.

Walker, an offensive lineman for the Red Devils this past season, was in a regular rotation during the duration of the contest.

The West squads only points came on a Enka quarterback Taylor McCurry to East Lincoln's Marcus McDowell 21-yard touchdown pass and catch.

East Forsyth's Chad Hollandsworth also added a 25-yard field goal.

Kinstons Shaheed Swinson was named Offensive MVP, while Hoggard's Terry Caldwell took Defensive MVP honors.
