Wal-Mart and United Way team up for back to school efforts

The Wal-Mart stores in Hickory and Conover are once again allowing their “Build A Backpack” school supply drive to blend with Catawba County United Way’s Volunteer Center’s “Stuff the Bus” school collection effort.  

The Wal-Mart stores will serve as convenient collection sites as patrons will be able to purchase items and place them in on-site bins, the effort kicks off   Saturday, July 27.
