The Catawba Valley Special Olympics are seeking volunteers for the Spring Track and Field Games on Friday, April 26, at Newton-Conover High School.

Volunteers are essential for a successful event and will help with the hundreds of athletes that are competing in the various events.

The athletes are special needs students from the second grade to age 22 and come from every school in Catawba County.

Volunteers will be assigned to a specific task for the day.  Some of the tasks include helping with the ribbons, cheering for the athletes, assisting with water, helping out at “Olympic Town” and helping out at the events.
