Despite a nearly hour long weather delay, South Iredell continued its dominance in the Catawba Valley 2A on Friday, knocking off another challenger in Maiden at home, 33-10.

The Vikings (7-0, 3-0) took the lead early in the contest with a pair of touchdowns, including a five-yard rushing score from Eythan Kramm and a 63-yard scamper by Michael Fisher.

Maiden's lone score of the half came when Ian Oliver connected on a 48-yard field goal.

South Iredell used defense to capitalize on Maiden mistakes and turn them into points in the second half.

Blue Devils quarterback Jake McRee was intercepted twice in Friday's game, including once by Jacolby Everhart, who returned it 95 yards for a touchdown.

Maiden's lone touchdown of the game came in the fourth quarter when T.J. Vick took a kickoff 80 yards for the touchdown.

Kramm, who rushed for 44 yards in the contest, added the final score of the game on a 32-yard touchdown, helping seal the Viking victory.

South Iredell moves into sole possession of first place in the CVAC, while Maiden (4-3, 2-1) is tied for second with three other teams, including Bandys, who it faces next week in a key conference contest at home.
