Vikings end Red Devils run in 2A soccer playoffs

The Newton-Conover girls soccer team had its season ended by South Iredell on Saturday evening in Troutman.

The Lady Vikings (21-2) scored three goals and clamped up their defense to come away with the 3-0 shutout in the third meeting between the two schools this season.

Miracle Campbell netted two goals for South Iredell, while Katie Hinerman pocketed the other goal for the Lady Vikings.

Jamie Shutt assisted on two South goals, and Jordan Kennedy assisted on the other.

The Lady Red Devils finish their season with a 21-2-1 overall record.
