Hickory fire leaves upstairs damaged PDF Print E-mail

A second floor lies damaged in Hickory after a fire was reported on Saturday night.

    A fire was reported at 10:28 p.m. at 867 Ninth Street N.E. and when firefighters arrived flames were visible from the structure.

    Hickory firefighters responded with  two engines, a ladder truck a command unit and 12 firefighters and by 11 p.m. the fire was under control.

    The house was vacant at the time and no injuries were reported.

    The fire remains under investigation by Hickory Fire Department investigators and the Hickory Police Department.  Anyone with any information regarding the fire is asked to call the Hickory Fire Prevention Bureau at (828) 323-7522.
