Two Newton men arrested

Five people, including two men from the Newton area, were arrested Saturday just minutes after they broke into a home in the 700 block of South Grove Street Extension in Lincolnton.

Lincoln County deputies were dispatched to a break-in in progress around 6:30 p.m. Saturday after a neighbor noticed some strange behavior and  blocked the suspect’s vehicle in the driveway.
