Lena Faye Abernethy Cline, 68, of Robinson Road, Newton, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011 at Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley. The Cline family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home & Crematory in Newton.

Josephine M.  Locke (Josie), 87, formerly of Newton, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning at the home of her only surviving daughter, Jeannie Locke McCall, and her husband, Tom McCall, in St. George, Utah. Ruby Jones Buff, 82, of South N.C. 16, Maiden, died Friday, Sept. 23, 2011 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory. Burke Mortuary in Maiden is serving the Buff Family.

Charles Ray Burke, 75, of Maiden, passed away unexpectedly Friday, Sept. 23, 2011 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Burke Mortuary is serving the Burke family.

Sue Weaver Keever, 82, of Lincolnton, died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, at Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley in Newton. Burke Mortuary in Newton is serving the Keever family.

Nellie Huffman Robertson, 83, of Catawba County, died Friday, Sept. 23, 2011 at her home in Newton.  Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Drum Funeral Home in Hickory.

William Norwood McDowell, 74, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011 at his residence in Newton.  The family has entrusted the funeral arrangements to Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home & Crematory in Newton.

Betty Lea Cline Murray, 79, died Monday, Sept. 26, 2011 at the Hospice Home at High Point.  Catawba Memorial Park, Funerals & Cremations is providing professional services to the Cline-Murray Family.

Rebecca “Becky” Smith Cline, 60, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 26, 2011. The Cline family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home & Crematory in Newton.
