Claude Daniel Finger, 90, of Vale, passed away Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, at CMC-Lincoln. Services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Lincolnton Church of God. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. at the church. The interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Dr. Richard King Sr. will officiate.

James “Jimmy” Miles Ligon, 53, of Newton, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at Brian Center-Viewmont. A graveside service will be held Nov. 18, 2010, in Forest Lawn East Cemetery in Matthews.

Our father, Por Ly, of Conover, passed away Nov. 10, 2010, after a lengthy illness. Catawba Memorial Park, Funerals and Cremations are providing professional services to the Ly family.

Ruby Lindsey Burgin, 89, of Newton, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. Catawba Memorial Park, Funerals and Cremations are providing professional services to the Burgin family.

Ruby Frances Broome Griffin, 90, of Lincolnton, passed away Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at Kindred Healthcare in Gastonia. Services were held Monday, Nov. 15, 2010, at Gainesville Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Woodrow Wilson Murray, 86, of Newton, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, at Abernethy Laurels in Newton. The Murray family has entrusted the funeral arrangements to Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home and Crematory in Newton.

Rosemary Sayles Housel, 65, of Maiden, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at her residence. The Housel family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Drum Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Conover.
