Harvey Lee Teague, 75, of Claremont, passed away Monday, May 23, 2011, at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory.  Burke Mortuary in Newton is serving the Teague family.

Daisy Queen Smyre, 90, of Newton, died Monday, May 23, 2011, at Abernathy Laurels in Newton.  The  Smrye family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home & Crematory in Newton.

William Earl “Bill” Seitz, 90, of Newton, died Sunday, May 22, 2011, at the Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley.  The Seitz family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home and Crematory in Newton.       

Fredrick “Fred” Richard Hodgkinson Jr., 85, of Conover, passed away peacefully May 21, 2011 at Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley in Newton.  Burke Mortuary in Newton is serving the Hodgkinson family.

Matthew “Matt” Edward Langley, 22, of Newton, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2011, in Wilkes County due to a motorcycle accident.  Burke Mortuary in Newton is serving the Langley family.

Frances Elizabeth Stewart, 83, of Catawba, went home to be with her heavenly Father, Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Catawba Valley Medical Center.  The Stewart family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Drum Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Conover. 

Clara Bly Myers Busic, 97, a life-long resident of Wilkes County, died.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 24, at 2 p.m. at Oakwoods Baptist Church in Wilkesboro.

Patsy Jean Eckard Beal, 67, of Lincolnton, died May 20, 2011, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.  The Beal family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home and Crematory in Newton.

Austin Hoke McRee, 16, of Sherrills Ford, passed away Friday, May 20, 2011, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.  Burke Mortuary in Newton is serving the McRee family.

Elmer Eugene Small, 64, of Greenville, S.C., formerly of Maiden, passed away Friday, May 20, 2011, at Hospice of Greenville, S.C.  A memorial service was held Monday, May 23, 2011, at Burke Mortuary Chapel in Maiden with Rev. David Cash officiating.

Dale Louise Woldridge, formerly of Sarasota, Fla., died Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley.  A funeral service was held Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel.
