Larry N. Bell, 71, of 1739 N. Post Road, Shelby, died at Cleveland Regional Medical Center on Saturday, May 19, 2012. The family receives friends 2-3 p.m. Tuesday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Hazel Inez Rudisill Gross Sain, 80, of Hickory, died Friday, May 18, 2012, at Palliative Care Center & Hospice of Catawba Valley in Newton. The Sain family entrusted funeral arrangements to Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton.

Lee Theodore Stevens, 70, of Conover, died after a long battle with cancer Friday, May 18, 2012, at Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley in Newton. A memorial service to celebrate his life is Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at 3 p.m. at Burke Mortuary Chapel in Newton, with Dr. Ed Yount officiating.
