Vivian Sigmon Hedrick, 87, of Claremont, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at Valley Nursing Home in Taylorsville.  The Hedrick family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Drum Funeral Home & Cremation in Conover.

John Fleming Reece II, 61, of Newton, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012.  A funeral will be at Calvary Baptist Church at 3 p.m. Tuesday, with Arthur Yount officiating.

Charles William Weaver, 90, of St. James Church Road, Newton, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at Brian Center in Lincolnton.  Burke Mortuary in Maiden is serving the Weaver Family.

Frances Huffman Austin, 85, of Newton, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at Conover Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  The Austin family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Drum Funeral Home & Cremation in Conover.

Lawrence Harold Norwood, 81, of Newton, died Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at Palliative Care Center and Hospice of Catawba Valley.  Burke Mortuary in Newton is serving the Norwood family.
