Shirley Temple Harris Lawing, 70, of Maiden, passed away Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, at Palliative Care Center and Hospice of Catawba Valley in Hickory. Burial will be Thursday, Dec. 23, at Jones Cemetery in Unicoi, Tenn.
Morris Luman Power Jr., 84, of Conover, died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at Conover Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness. The Power family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Drum Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Conover.
