Sara Reid Fairchild, 70, of Alexandria, La., passed away Friday, Aug. 10, 2012 at Matthews Memorial Nursing Care after several years of declining health. Bass-Smith Funeral Home is serving the family of Sara Reid Fairchild.
Eric “Shane” Uzzell, age 39, of Maiden passed away Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Ctr. Lincoln in Lincolnton. A Memorial Service will be Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Burke Mortuary Chapel in Maiden with Pastor Richard King officiating.

Dana Brett Reed, 56 of Hickory died Monday, Aug. 13, 2012 at his residence. A Celebration of Dana’s Life will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012 at Corinth Reformed United Church of Christ in Hickory.
