Trojans trample Cavaliers, 45-6

October 22, 2011

Bandys’ defense muzzled East Burke, while the Trojans’ Dominique Young rushed for four touchdowns to help lift his team to a 45-6 win over the Cavaliers.

After leading 27-0 at halftime, Bandys allowed the only East Burke points in the early going of the second half. The Cavaliers Chuckie Ritchie scored on a 27-yard passing play to put East Burke on the board, 27-6.

Bandys responded immediately, marching down the field and Young scored on a 39-yard touchdown run, his fourth scoring run of the night. Young finished the night with 178 yards on 19 carries.

Bandys added two more scores in the second half, including one on a 61-yard fumble recovery returned for a touchdown by Hunter Lackey. Devan Davis scored on an 11-yard run.

With the win Bandys improves to 3-3 in the Catawba Valley Athletic Conference, and hosts Bunker Hill for the final game of the regular season.
