“Music like all art teaches us to appreciate beauty,” says Harper School instructor Jonathan Beal. “Art makes us more human. Art makes life more enjoyable.”

Providing opportunities for all to appreciate beauty through music education is the central tenant of the Harper School.

Although the nonprofit facility is located in Lenoir, it serves aspiring musicians and includes faculty and board members who reside throughout the region, including in Catawba, Caldwell, Alexander, Burke and Watauga counties.
