Traffic stop leads to pair of arrests

Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two men and seized two kilos of cocaine during an early morning traffic stop on Highway 321 north of High Shoals.

Deputies were observing traffic around 1:30 a.m. near Exit 20 on U.S. 321 when they noticed a suspicious vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. Inside the vehicle officers found a duffel bag in plain sight on the floorboard of the vehicle which contained the two kilos of cocaine. Deputies also seized a pistol, cash and small amount of marijuana.
