Town to re-vote on spending plan

Catawba Town Council will hold a special meeting on Monday to discuss next year’s 2012-13 fiscal year budget.

Catawba’s council approved a nearly $1 million budget earlier this month with a split 3-2 decision.

However, one town council member is now questioning if the town followed proper protocol when approving its annual plan.

Catawba Town Manager Brian Barnett said one of the two council members who voted “no” on the budget has questioned whether the town had enough proper votes for approval.
