The City of Claremont is hosting a Touch-a-Truck event at the Claremont Fire Department on Saturday, April 22. This fun-filled family event will showcase a variety of vehicles and will allow kids the opportunity to explore and learn more about everything from big rigs to emergency response vehicles.
The event will also feature live demonstrations from the Fire Department and a helicopter landing by MedCenter Air of Carolinas HealthCare System, weather permitting. The event is free and will take place from 9am – 1pm. Donations to the PJ Stanley Scholarship Fund are welcomed. This event is sponsored by the City of Claremont Parks and Recreation Department and the Claremont Fire Department. Hotdogs and drinks will also be for sale with proceeds going to the Catawba County Firefighters Burned Children Fund.
Make plans to come out and meet the people who build, protect, and serve the Claremont community with this hands-on opportunity. For questions or to learn more about the event, please contact the City of Claremont at (828) 466-7255 or visit our website at www.cityofclaremont.org .
