Geraldine Valentine Stout, 93, of Newton, died Sunday, May 29, 2011, at Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley.  No services are planned at this time.

Paula Fox Townsend, 55, of Hickory, died Friday, May 27, 2011. The Townsend family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Drum Funeral Home, Hickory.
