Juanita Garris Smyre, 78, of Newton, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013 at Catawba Regional Hospice in Newton. The Smyre family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Drum Funeral Home and Cremations in Conover.
Mrs. Holten “Hokie” Isenhour Thornburg, 93, of Conover passed away Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013 at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory. Burke Mortuary in Newton is serving the Thornburg family.
Ira Nantz “Susie” Keever, 85, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County or McKendree United Methodist Church.
