Texting Championship

The first texting championship will be held at 4 p.m. at the C.O. Miller Center, 711 First St. SW in Hickory, and sponsored by the YMCA youth development. Contestants will participate in groups of four to type and send messages that will be displayed on a big screen. Messages will be sent to a master phone and judged on speed and accuracy. Prizes awarded.
