Technology at the fingertips

July 13, 2012

It’s the time of year when many area residents head to Myrtle Beach, S.C., for some relaxation. In addition to time on the beach, they also shop, eat out, play golf, and spend a day at the spa or find an adventure at a water park. One Source Media based outNewton has developed what they call the Grand Strand Information Station to give vacation-goers access to those types of local amenities at the touch of a button.

What is a Grand Strand Information Station? It’s a 46-inch interactive touch screen that gives vacationers access to local weather, local restaurant specials and flight information. Avid golfers can view the signature hole from their favorite courses. If you need to print your boarding pass or a coupon, you can do it directly from the Information Station or even have it sent to your smart phone. Booking a day at the spa or finding a rental car location can all be done through the kiosk. If you want to check out the high tide and low tide times, it’s just a click away.  With One Source Media, the possibilities on these innovative Information Stations are endless.
