Stegall named superintendent

Newton-Conover City Schools will have a new Superintendent starting July 1.

Dr. David Stegall was named the new Superintendent of Newton-Conover City Schools at the Board of Education meeting on Monday night.

Dr. Stegall has been with Newton-Conover Schools since 2007 serving first as Curriculum Director and then in 2009, Dr. Stegall was named Associate Superintendent working with Curriculum and Instruction, Strategic Planning and Staff Development.  He will take over from Dr. Barry Redmond, who is retiring June 30.
