Facing 4th and 9 on its opening drive, the Newton-Conover football team capitalized on a special teams miscue by Lexington.

Realizing wide receiver Josh Ramseur was uncovered, N-C quarterback Cameron Stanley completed a 46-yard pass to the 6-4 wideout.

Stanley sliced and diced the Yellowjacket secondary, and the Red Devils notched their second-straight shutout in a 39-0 win against Lexington at Gurley Stadium.
